Abstract (EN)

body mass index, self-esteem and the social appearance anxiety. The sample of the study consists of 478 (237 Female and 241 Male) participants who were having education at Gaziantep University in 2018/2019. Socio-demographic information form, social appearance anxiety scale, online game addiction scale and two-dimensional self-esteem scale were applied to the participants. All of the data was analyzed with the SPSS 23 program. Since the data was distributed normally, parametric analysis methods were used. A positive correlation was found between online game playing time and online game addiction regarding the total score of online gaming addiction and all of its sub-dimensions. However, there was no statistically significant relationship between body mass index and online gaming addiction. The findings were discussed based on the relevant literature.
