Examining the works of Şermin Yaşar wihin the framework of childrens's literatüre and child education

The fact that the field of children's literature has become widespread allows the creation of works in various genres. In this study; The works written for children by Şermin Yaşar, a writer who wrote qualified works in different genres and appealed to large masses, were examined in line with the basic principles of children's literature. The place and importance of his works in children's literature and children's education has been tried to be revealed. Şermin Yaşar's 1 novel, 4 fairy tale books and 8 stories constitute the sample of the study. The aim of the research is to determine whether Şermin Yaşar's children's books are suitable in terms of internal structure and external structure elements, which are the basic principles of children's literature. In the study in which the descriptive scanning model was used, the data were collected with the document analysis technique and analyzed with the content analysis method. In the theoretical framework of the study, general information about children's literature and children's education, the author's life and works are included. In the findings section, the works of Şermin Yaşar were examined in terms of their internal and external structure features. In the conclusion part of the study, it was concluded that the works of the author are generally in accordance with the principles of children's literature and are a source for parents, educators and academicians.
