In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between childhood psychological traumas and borderline personality traits. The participants consisted of 412 people between the ages of 20-58 who were administered the Borderline Personality Traits Scale, the Childhood Psychiatric Trauma Scale and the personal information form. Pearson Correlation analysis was used to measure the relationship between childhood psychological traumas and borderline personality traits. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between all subgroups of childhood traumas and borderline personality traits. A high level of positive correlation was found between childhood trauma scale subgroups, especially emotional abuse and borderline personality traits. While the total scale scores of childhood traumas do not differ between genders, when the subgroups of the scale are examined, it is seen that the emotional abuse and sexual abuse subscale scores of the female participants are significantly higher than the scores of the men, and the physical abuse subscale scores of the male participants are higher than the scores of the female participants. When the Borderline Personality Scale total scores were compared between genders, it was found that the Borderline Personality Scale total scores of the female participants were significantly higher than the Borderline Personality Scale total scores of the male participants. When the relationship between the psychological problems of the parents of the participants and the borderline personality scale scores of the participants, it is seen that there is a significant relationship.
