The effect of the COVİD-19 pandemi̇c on the burnout levels of banki̇ng employees Erzi̇ncan provi̇nce sample

Several global pandemics have come upon the humanity in the world and in our country until today. The Covid-19 pandemic, which shows up in Wuhan city of China and spread rapidly all over the world in a short while, has deeply shaken our country for about two years. This pandemic, which first ruined the health system, later caused significant effects on economies. Banks assume the biggest responsibility in order to eliminate the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on our national economy. The banking sector, which requires constant communication with people, where change and development is constantly experienced, and where competition is high, made great efforts to prevent the economy from being adversely affected during the Covid-19 pandemic process and to meet the demands of the citizens. The aim of this study is to research the effects of Covid-19 phobia on the burnout levels of banking employees. In order to achieve this aim, a survey was conducted with the employees of public and private deposit banks operating in Erzincan province and its districts. The collected data were analyzed through the statistical methods. Findings demonstrate that the fear experienced by the bank employees during the Covid-19 pandemic has a significant effect on their burnout status.
