Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 disease, which emerged in 2019, was first encountered in Wuhan, China, and passed from animals to humans, has adversely affected many parts of our lives. The virus in question has changed the decisions and plans that people make in their daily lives all over the world. The use of environments where people like banks, hospitals, shopping malls can be crowded has affected human behavior in many areas such as socialization, social distance, use of masks, general and personal hygiene. Some of these affected behaviors are stress and burnout. One of the occupational groups in which stress and burnout are intensely experienced is banking. Stress levels of bank employees increase due to virus-related restrictions and negative energy, and this stress can cause burnout. In this study, it was aimed to measure the stress and burnout of bank personnel during the epidemic, to determine the relationship between them and to investigate them in terms of demographic characteristics. The Perceived Stress Scale was used to measure the stress levels of the participants, and the Maslach Burnout Scale was used to measure the burnout levels. The data were collected from the bank personnel working in the center of Konya by online survey method. Analyzes were carried out on 449 questionnaires. SPSS 26 package program was used in the analysis. Descriptive statistical calculations, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, Exploratory (Explanatory) factor analysis, Normality test, Mann Whitney-U test and Kruskal Wallis tests were performed. As a result of Spearman Correlation analysis, it was determined that the relationship between stress and burnout levels of bank employees during the Covid-19 epidemic process was significant. It was determined by Mann Whitney-U test and Kruskal Wallis tests whether the stress and burnout sub-dimension levels of bank employees differ according to demographic variables (gender, age, marital status, education level, length of service in the banking sector, type of bank, position in the bank, monthly average income). has been done. According to the results of the analysis, the level of discomfort perception of bank employees during the Covid-19 epidemic process differs according to age, working time in the banking sector, unit of work and monthly income variables. Insufficient self-efficacy perception levels differ only according to the bank type variable. Emotional exhaustion levels differ according to the unit of work and monthly income variables. Depersonalization levels vary according to age, unit of work and monthly income variables. Low personal achievement levels differ according to the variables of age, marital status, education level, working time in the banking sector and the unit of employment.
