Abstract (EN)

Folksongs that are one of the richest products of anonymous Turkish literature have articulated our people?s feelings since old times. Every folksong comes up for a certain reason. This part which may be called as the tale has disappeared in some folksongs, but it is still alive in some of them. In this study, it was aimed to display Çukurova folksong tradition in various environments with their folkways.In the introduction part of the study, the folksong notion was presented with its different aspects, and tale with folksong with its tales was evaluated after giving the background information about the study. In the first chapter, Çukurova tale with folksong tradition was analyzed under the titles such as; transmitter, audience, place and time, music. The second chapter consisted of quatrain number, meter, caesura, rhyme evaluations. In the third part, the content of the folksong text was conducted in terms of; topic, theme, time, place, and person. In the last chapter, the texts were analyzed in terms of narrative forms and narration models.This study aimed to take the text of the folksongs under record, and to transfer them to future generations. Also, the study aimed to analyze these texts according to the social environments that they are bound to, and to do contributions to similar future studies.
