Thematic analysis of studies on Abu Hurairah in post-Republic Türkiye

This thesis comprehensively analyzes the thematic studies conducted on Abu Huraira in post-Republic Türkiye. The study consists of an introduction and two main sections. The introduction discusses topics such as Abu Huraira's life, his central role in the science of hadith, and his jurisprudence. The content of the studies can be categorized into three points: first, studies against Abu Huraira; second, defenses that can be seen as support for Abu Huraira; and third, studies that include both elements. The study examines, evaluates, and concludes these points with its own views. Each section's studies are specifically evaluated at the end of the sections, forming a conclusion part. In post-Republic Türkiye, five theses, fifteen articles, twelve books, and the "Abu Huraira" entry in the TDV Encyclopedia directly related to Abu Huraira have been identified. Out of a total of 33 studies, only 3 criticize Abu Huraira, while all the remaining studies show that the value of Abu Huraira and his narrations cannot be diminished. Our study shows that the existing studies on Abu Huraira provide sufficient resources on his hadith and jurisprudence. However, due to the large number of his narrations, it is concluded that further research on his narrations is necessary.
