Studied of bibliography with Demokrat Party (1945-1961)

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk supported the freedom of thought, one of the most important part of the democractic regime in Turkish Republic he founded in 1923. For this purpose, firstly in 1930, and then in 1930 there had been two attempts for the multiple party system, but they got no results at the end. In consequence of these two failures, there was a break for the multiple party system trials until 1946. The new world order, constructed after the Second World War, required a multi-party system in Turkey. Founded with a request of democracy in 1946, the Democrat Party won the elections and ended the one-party rule which reigned nearly three-decade-long. In this period known as the Democrat Party or the Menderes Period, there was three elections respectively done in 1950, 1954 and 1957; and Adnan Menderes formed the government as the Prime Minister. The Democrat Party was overthrown by a military coup in 1960. The politics disyoked from the elitism and reached the large mass of people during the power of the Democrat Party, thus this period affected the Turkish political culture positively and provided a basis for the moderation of bureaucratictyranniser state tradition and birth of a national trading-industrial bourgeoisie. As a result of the agricultural reform, dams and hydroelectric power stations, extensification of the services of education and transportation, the bars of the political structure were demolished and Turkey had the most significant change of its history. This thesis has analised this change including different points of views published between 1945-1960 and pieced them together bibliographically.Key Words: The Democrat Party, a Modulation to Democracy, Adnan Menderes
