Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to examine the effects of balance and flexibility training on technical performance, dynamic balance and flexibility parameters in volleyball athletes aged 14-17. Male volleyball athletes of age (15.60±1.00 years) and licensed (balance group n=10, flexibility group n=10, control group n=10) who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study were included. At the end of the volleyball training, the balance group was given balance training and the flexibility group was given flexibility training. These trainings were performed for 12 weeks (3 days a week / 35 minutes) and every 4 weeks, with more advanced movements and increasing intensity. The control group was not given any training other than volleyball training. Pre-test and post-test tests were taken after the 12-week study and statistical analyses were performed. The Shaphiro-Wilk test was used to check whether the data had a normal distribution, and since the data showed a normal distribution, the Paired Sample T test was applied to test intra-group differences. Additionally, in testing the differences between groups, One Way Anova was used to check which group the difference originated from and Tukey HSD, and the results were evaluated at the p=0.05 significance level. Anthropometric measurements, shoulder mobility test, internal rotation, external rotation test, sit and reach test, elbow distance test, Y dynamic balance lower extremity test, Bartlett serving accuracy, forearm pass test, spike speed test were applied to the athletes. As a result of flexibility studies; Right and left upper extremity shoulder mobility, right and left upper extremity external rotation, trunk mobility, distance between the elbows, spike speed, serving accuracy, and forearm pass values as technical performance was positively affected. As a result of balance studies; Dynamic balance, technical performance, spike speed and serving accuracy values were positively affected. When the research results are evaluated holistically, it can be said that flexibility and balance training have a positive effect on the technical performance of volleyball athletes.
