Abstract (EN)
The formation of art is known to have begun with drawings on cave walls, directly influenced by nature. The desire of humans to express their emotions and observations started from the cave period. As long as human existence continues, there will always be a need for painting as well as other disciplines united under the umbrella of art to express emotions. Regardless of the form, the emergence of the sense of pleasure undoubtedly relies on the sublimity of art. Painting has evolved primitively from ancient times to the Renaissance, and significant changes have occurred in both technical aspects and perspectives on art, with the prominence of enlightenment and science in the Renaissance. Following the invention of the camera in 1830, photography was perceived by some painters as a frightening development; however, the innovations brought by photography contributed to the development of painting and were even used by many artists. Camera Obscura began to find its place in the lives of artists as a result of the need to transfer the image obtained by the artist onto the surface clearly. Over time, the relationship between painting and photography progressed positively in parallel. Instead of imitating reality, photography proposed a new perspective on reality in painting and created an environment for this proposal. The industrial revolution marked the beginning of digitalization in painting, and the use of various disciplines together in art enabled the emergence of new forms of expression. The new visual/optical experiences created with machines influenced the Post-Impressionist and Cubist movements. With advancing technology, new possibilities for digital art emerged, challenging traditional art and giving rise to a new style. The computer, as the canvas of digital art, has brought about changes in the creation of artworks and facilitated the reformation of art.
