Abstract (EN)

The aim of our study is to evaluate the subjective and objective parameters of the voice by determining whether there is a voice disorder in religious officials who have similar voice usage times and to examine how temperament and personality traits change according to the presence of voice disorders and voice usage habits. In the study, a total of 87 religious officials aged 18 to 65 were enrolled. In the objective evaluation of the voice of all individuals, VLS examination, acoustic analysis (F0, jitter, shimmer, NHR, VTI, SPI), and aerodynamic (maximum phonation time (MPT) and s/z ratio) measurements are taken into account; subjective assessment includes GRBAS, VHI-10, and V-RQOL. B5KT-50-Tr and the TEMPS-A Scale were used to evaluate temperament and personality traits. All individuals were divided into groups according to the presence of voice disorders and voice usage habits. Considering the findings obtained from the study, it was observed that 65 of 87 individuals had normal voice health and 22 individuals were diagnosed with voice disorders. A statistically significant difference was found between the groups with and without voice disorders in terms of acoustic and aerodynamic parameters such as shimmer, jitter, NHR, SPI, MPT, and s/z ratios (p<0.05). The G, S, B, GRBAS, VHI-10, and V-RQOL scores of the group with voice disorders were significantly higher than the group without voice disorders (p<0.05). In addition, there was a significant difference between the groups with and without voice disorder in terms of B5KT-50-Tr scale extraversion and emotional stability scores (p<0.05), but no significant difference was found in TEMPS-A temperament scores. While there was a significant difference between the groups with bad and good voice habits in terms of TEMPS-A anxious temperament scores (p<0.05), no significant difference was found in B5KT-50-Tr personality scores (p>0.05). Between high anxious temperament and bad voice usage habits; It is thought that there is an important relationship between introverted and neurotic personality traits and voice disorders. While planning the voice evaluation and therapy of religious officials, temperament and personality traits should also be considered.
