Presidency of Religious Affairs case study on the application of branch classroom system by 4-6 age group Qur'an course teachers

This research was conducted to determine the views of instructors on the use of drama, fairy tale, art, sports, music and similar classes instead of using a single class while implementing the 4-6 age group Qur'an Courses Curriculum affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DİB). The study group of the research, which was carried out in the case study design of qualitative research methods, consists of 15 instructors who implement the branch classroom system in 8 different 4-6 age Qur'an Courses affiliated to DİB. A semi-structured interview form was used to determine the views of instructors on the use of drama, fairy tale, sports, music, art and similar classes. In the data analysis of the research, content analysis was used and examined according to the criteria determined by the researcher.The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the findings obtained from the research, instructors stated that while implementing the 4-6 age education program, using branch classroom classes positively affected children's development characteristics, when space arrangement supported achievements, it made it easier for children to focus on the lesson, children were in communication with instructors and students in the institution. they feel that they belong to school, they deliver school classes clean and tidy to their friends, it makes it easier to reach achievements determined by DİB and children are happier during this process. In the research, it was determined that instructors were open to new methods and techniques and implemented their programs using active learning, educational drama, game-based learning, fairy tale and teaching with music methods. Positive opinions were obtained at the point where children were refreshed with class change, their focus on the lesson was ensured with the transition to a new class with ready materials and achievements were reached in different classes. In interview findings, it was determined that branch classroom system increased communication between instructors, cooperation, consultation and harmony. As a result of research findings, it is recommended that deficiencies and shortcomings in practice be eliminated and popularized.
