Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in the Trial Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture of Dicle University in 2018 to determınation of growth on cotton planted at different intra-row spacing by using of plant monitoring techniques in Diyarbakır conditions. Gloria, Carla and BA440 (Gossypium hirsutum L.) varieties were used in the study. Trial was carried out on split plot in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Main plots were cotton varieties (Gloria, Carla and BA 440) and subplots were intra-row spaces (6, 12, 18 and 24 cm). In this study, using plant monitoring; such as number of nodes above white flower (NAWF), height to node ratio (HNR) was examined. It was found as a result of the study that the height to node rate (HNR) varied between cotton varieties, the highest HNR is obtained from intra-rowspacing of 18 cm (3.88 cm) and 18, 24, 6 cm respectively, BA 440 variety has been the last to enter the physiological maturity, these parameters used in plant growth periods can be a good indicator for the use of yield parameters. It was also found that intra-rowspacing had significant impact on number of monopodial branches, number of opening bolls, seed cotton yield, ginning outturn, seed index, number of node for first sympodial branch, and insignificant impact on plant height, number of sympodial branches, height of the first sympodial branch, fiber length, fiber fineness, short fiber content, fiber uniformity, fiber strength, reflectance, fiber yellowness value.
