Ab al-Ferej Ibn al-Jawziy's understanding of sufism in context of his book Saydul Hatır

There are important traits that have taken place in the life of a Muslim in the form of self-discipline and attachment of the heart to its owner. These qualities, which were revived for the purpose of building a perfect human and virtue society, began to be a part of Islamic life in the form of zuhd, sufism and mystical schools. As in other disciplines since the time of the ruling, the definition and limitation of the limit has emerged. In parallel to this, different manifestations and practices occurred in practical life. As a result, there were extremes and disruptions that could sometimes be called as ifrat and tefrit. Hijri In the fifth and sixth centuries, during the Umayyad period and during the Abbasid period, the earthly world came to the forefront, and philosophical and intellectual conflicts continued, the sufi life was inevitably affected by this turbulent environment. Hijri In the second century Hasan al-Basrî (d. 110/728), Imam-i Azam (d. 150/767), Imam Shafii (d. 204/819) by taking the example of the approaches of ifrat and tefrit efforts to avoid the return to essence density. For this purpose, one of the people who came to prominence with his works is Ab Al-Ferej Abdurrahman Ibn Al-Jawziy (d. 597/ 1201) who lived in Hijri 6th month. In this area, Ibn Al-Jawziy, who received a lot of artifacts, came to the forefront, which could be called "Heartbeat" - "Anılar" or "Diaries". In this study, Ab Al-Ferej Abdurrahman Ibn Al-Jawziy's approach to Sufism will be discussed in the context of his work Saydü'l-Hâtır. Keywords.
