Abstract (EN)

The relationship between humans and nature gradually breaks. In addition, there are various reasons for it, it can be emphasized the hard life of man's struggle for survival. Also, it is not replaced today's human-centered approaches, consumption, and exploitation. Thus, the impact of global warming gets more powerful. Earthquakes, floods, landslides, the Covid-19 pandemic, extreme droughts, and heavy rains can be given as examples of climate change. As a result of these facts, in addition to the articulation of difficult living conditions to human life, human has lost their context in life. In the 1970s, Australian biologist Bill Mollison and his student David Holmgren created a system of permanent agriculture. They have started the idea of the system to make our world better to live in and to make life fairer for any living being. Then the system of agriculture offers many options for designing and designing living spaces for people. Today, many Permacultures are cultivated around the world every year, and their influence expands globally with the Permaculture Design Certificate courses given at regular intervals. In this context, the thesis studies the Permaculture lifestyle and world of meaning. In- depth interviews were conducted within the scope of qualitative research with forty people throughout Turkey who are either trainers or practitioners of Permaculture design by using Snowball sampling. The interviews continued by asking the participants what Permaculture means to them in their lives by asking them semi-structured questions. To make a sociological analysis in line with the answers received, Alfred Schutz's Phenomenological Sociology concepts were used. The systems, methods, and techniques that permaculturists have established not only create an agriculture design but also design the processes of making sense of the environment and the world. In this sense, the analysis, that emerged as a result of the research, shows the connection and relationship between humans and nature. In addition, this relationship has to be refined relationality. Communities such as permaculture give the following message to the world; "we need to leave the human-centered perspective and look at our environment holistically not to lose our kind. The findings of the thesis suggest alternative communal forms with a different consciousness framed by an innovative, fair, non-hierarchical in framework of the permaculture. It can be stated that permaculturalism produces new societies that take place in sociological discus- sions by creating social spaces that change the direction of social mobility and question the patterns of inequality.
