Abstract (EN)

In this study was aimed to investigate the prevalence of foot diseases in cattle in region of Erzincan and Elazig. A total of 4000 different ages and sexes, including 3000 in Erzincan region and 1000 in Elazig region, were investigated for cattle foot disease and claw deformation. Farms and pastures were visited in all seasons throughout the year and the animals were examined for foot diseases. Soil samples were taken from the pastures where the animals grazed and sent for analysis to determine the trace elements in its content. Data were collected from meteorology for year-round humidity and precipitation determination. During the examinations in the Erzincan region, only 106 feet had claw deformity, 62 had only foot disease, and 99 had claw deformity and foot disease. In the Elazig region, only 39 feet had claw deformity, 22 had only foot disease, and 38 had claw deformity and foot disease. As a result, the prevalence of foot diseases in cattle region of Erzincan was determined as % 9,8 and the region of Elazig was determined as %8.9
