The exami̇nation of word groups i̇n Aşk by Eli̇f Şafak

In this study, word groups in Elif Şafak's novel named Aşk were analyzed. İn this thesis, the word groups in Turkish have been studied in details. İn categorization and classification of the word groups was predicated Türkçede Söz Dizimi written by prof. Dr. Leyla Karahan upon. The aims, methods and restrictions of the study were given at the entrance. The information about Elif Şafak's life, works and novel named Aşk was given in the first chapter of the study. İn the secend chapter, both description of the word groups with respect to current resonces and classifications of the word groups were taken place. İn the third chapter, the word groups from Aşk by Elif Şafak are analyzed. The word groups which has studied are seqentially as follows: Noun phrase, adjective phrase, participle phrase, infinitive phrase, gerundium phrase, repetitions, prepositional phrase, conjunctional phrase, title phrase, compound noun phrase, exclamation phrase, number phrase, compound verb and abbreviation phrases.
