Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; what is the understanding of leisure time activities and leisure time activities of the members of the police, to understand the level of organizational citizenship is affected by the demographic characteristics of what kind of activities and to explore the relationship between leisure time activities and organizational citizenship. The study was carried out with the appropriate sampling method from the police members working in the province of Kütahya. A total of 966 participants (903 male and 63 female) participated in this study. Data were collected from the participants by demographic data form, questionnaire to determine the free time assessment habits and Podsakoff et al. (1990) Organizational Citizenship Behavior scale consisting of twenty questions was used. In the statistical tests, it was observed that the data were normally distributed as the data were in the range of -1.0 +1.0, based on the Skewness and Kurtosis values. The data showed normal distribution and the data were analyzed by MANOVA. As a result of the study, 57,10% of the participants saw the leisure time as a rest time. 38.30% of the participants stated that their leisure time outside the job was 3-4 hours. 40.6% of the participants have no difficulty evaluating their leisure time. It is understood that 19.8% of the participants prefer to spend their leisure time with their family members. 65.6% of the participants spend their leisure time at home. 26.3% of the participants stated that leisure time activities had a relaxing effect on themselves. 12.2% of the participants spend their free time with their families and children. The lack of time for participants to participate in the leisure time is the most effective cause. 42.3% of the respondents demand daily overtime arrangements. In addition, there were no significant differences in terms of organizational citizenship levels between the participants' gender, marital status, monthly income, and difficulty in participation in free time. Significant differences were found in terms of working hours of EGM, meaning of free time, free time periods and where they spend their free time.
