Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between spiritual well-being, peer relationships and psychological resilience in adolescent individuals. The study was carried out using the relational screening model. "Brief Psychological Resilience Scale", "Peer Relations Scale" and "Spiritual Well-Being Scale" were used as data collection tools. The sample of the research consists of 344 adolescent individuals, 47.1% of whom are female and 52.9% of whom are male students, studying in imam hatip high schools in Üsküdar district of Istanbul province in the 2022-2023 academic year. Findings were obtained using descriptive analyses, difference analyzes (t-test, ANOVA), correlation and regression analyses. In the regression analysis, a multiple regression model was used to reveal the direct and indirect roles of the variables. According to the findings, while the spiritual well-being scores of adolescents did not differ significantly according to their gender, psychological resilience scores showed a significant difference in favor of male adolescents, and peer relations scores showed a significant difference in favor of female adolescents. According to Pearson correlation analysis, a highly significant positive relationship was found between adolescents' spiritual well-being and peer relationships, and a positive significant relationship was found between adolescents' psychological resilience and spiritual well-being. A positive significant relationship also emerged between adolescents' psychological resilience and peer relationships. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, spiritual well-being and peer relationships explain approximately 32%of the total hypothesis in the psychological resilience variable. The results of the research and relevant findings were interpreted within the framework of the literature. Considering the research results, it can be stated that high school students' spiritual well-being and peer relationships play a role in explaining their psychological resilience.
