Abstract (EN)

Wetting and fluid transmission is prominent in the field of use in sportswear and equipment, medical textiles, protective military and underwear. It is important to configure the required product characteristics and improve production conditions according to the area of use. In this study, 13 fabrics with different yarns and densities in single jersey and 1x1 ribana knitting structure were examined. Single jersey fabrics are knitted from yarns with different properties and two different densities are used. The effect of density and yarn properties on wetting behavior was investigated. In 1x1 ribana fabrics, the differences in wetting behavior of the differences between half-cardigan and full-cardigan structures with unchanged yarn properties were observed. Wetting, wicking, drying, air and water vapor permeability of the fabrics were investigated. At the end of the study, it was observed that 100% polyester fabrics had a significant effect on the measured properties. There was no significant difference between the half-cardigan and the full-cardigan.
