Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this thesis was to examination of the kinetic and kinematic variables of the different relative loads and grip tecniques used in unilateral strength exercises on the lower extremity. Twenty male volunteer athletes, from Haliç University School of Physical Education and Sports, with a mean age 23.35±1.27 years, mean body weight of 175.1±6.08cm and a mean body weight of 78.07±11.15kg, who regularly performed resistance training for at least three years, applied lower body unilateral and bilateral exercise models, were participated to this study voluntarly. The measurements were planned for 8 days and the athletes were randomly divided into 2 groups of 10 people to complete the test process fluently, and they were randomly taken to the tests for 4 days on different days. The study consists of 2 parts; In the first part, the athletes' height, weight and one repetition maximum (1TM) load were calculated. In the second part, the athletes applied the Modified Single Leg Squat (MTBS) movement, which is a unilateral exercise model in the front and back grip on the dominant and non-dominant leg at different relative loads. While the acceleration and power data were taken with the Push BAND™ Pro 2.0 device in the measurements, the kinematic data was recorded with the Qualisys Motion Capture System. Statistical analysis of the study was made using SPSS V.25 program. Kinetic and kinematic differences between Front and Back MTBS techniques were analyzed using T-test in dependent groups. As a result, in the UNI Front and Back MTBS movement performed at different relative loads and grip techniques; significant differences were found in some kinetic and kinematic parameters of trunk and knee angles as well as Average Power(W), Average Power(W/kg), Average Velocity(m/s), Peak Velocity(m/s) (p<0,05). It is thought that the Front and Back MBSTS movement can be used especially in resistance training programs that require lower body power, velocity and strength.
