The oppinion of science teachers and science teacher candidates about STEM and needs analysis about STEM applications

The aim of this study is to determine the ideas of science teachers and teacher candidates about STEM and to do need anylysis according to STEM practices.Science teachers who work in secondary schools bound to Provincial Directorate of National Education and got authorization and science teacher candidates who educate in Uludağ University Education Faculty form the study. 'STEM Determining Need of Teacher Form and Determining Need of Teacher Candidate Form' as two questionnaires are used.The data that will be provide from the research is analysed by using percent.According to the research, teacher and teacher candidates evoulated.STEM, the aid of STEM to the students, theirselves about STEM and essential physical conditionsfor STEM. In conclusion, both teachers and teacher candidates had similar answers.Both groubs expressed that there are a lot of positive aspects, students need it, they have some lacks and what the physical conditions are essential.
