Teaching science-laboratory studies the survey of the activities of the cooperative learning on physics experimental groups

In this research, using Cooperative Learning Method and Traditional Learning Method, attitude of the university students to the Laboratory Studies at Teaching Science Courses and the effects on the scientific and social skills of them were examined.99 students that study Teaching Science and Technology at Education Faculty of Fırat University sampled this research. Mixed Research Design was applied on this research. The research was carried out by the students who are at their 3rd year at university and formed randomly as an experimental and a control group. The data of the research was collected using an Attitude Scale, an Observation Form and a Semi-structured Interview Method. When analysing the data, arithmetic average, standart deviation, and t test were used. The interviews were recorded by a tape recorder and the observations were recorded by a video camera. Content Analysis Method was used in the analysis of the interviews.According to the research results, at Teaching Science in Laboratory courses there is no significant difference between Cooperative Learning Method and Traditional Learning Method.with respect to students? at¬titudes towards the course. When the observation form was analysed it is stated that Cooperative Learning Method has more positive effects when compared with Traditional Learning Method. But at the interviews, it has been concluded that students prefer Cooperative Learning Method in terms of scientific and social aspects but there is no change in the attitudes of the method.Key Words: Science Teaching, Laboratuary, Cooperative Learning, Attitude, Physics Experimental Groups, Observation and Interwiev
