Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it was aimed to evaluate the anticancer activity of phloroglucinol, a naturally derived fluorotanene derivative, on human prostate cancer cells. In this context, androgen-independent PC3 human prostate cancer cells were used, and the cytotoxic effect of phloroglucinol on these cells was evaluated with the MTT test. Annexin V binding analysis studies were performed to evaluate the apoptotic activity of the compound on cells.
