Abstract (EN)

Essential oil content and components, antioxidant activities and phenolic contents of fruits and herbs, fatty acid content and composition of fruits and germination conditions of seeds of following taxa were investigated: Ammi visnaga, Angelica sylvestris, Bifora radians, Echinophora tournefortii, Echinophora tenuifolia subsp sibthorpiana, Echinophora trichophylla, Foeniculum vulgare, Ferulago cassia, Ferulago pauciradiata, Glaucosciadium cordifolium, Heracleum platytaenium, Hippomarathrum cristatum, Hippomarathrum microcarpum, Laser trilobum, Opopanax hispidus, Pastinaca sativa subsp urens, Peucedanum chryseum, Prangos platychlaena, Prangos uechtritzii. Fruit viability and cultivation possibilities of taxa was determined by GA3 applications, cold stratification, X-Ray shots and spring-autumn sowings. Essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation, fatty oils were obtained by extraction method, and their components were determined by chromatographic methods. Essential oil content varied according to fruits and herbs, and F. cassia, L. trilobum, F. vulgare and H. platytaenium had over 5% essential oil. Significant differences were determined between the components and their ratios of essential oils. Fatty oil ratios of fruits showed a wide variation, and, it was determined that fatty oil contained high levels of petroselinic acids. H. platytaenium, F. vulgare and P. sativa can be used in oil industry. Phenolic substances of methanol extracts varied between 46.6-148.6 mg/g GAE, antioxidant activities varied between 3.3-92.5%. Antioxidant activity of A. visnaga, L. trilobum and H. cristatum were higher. Seed filling rate of E. tournefortii was low in X-Ray shots, it was high in others. In germination studies, it was determined that a significant part of taxa had dormancy, autumn sowing was more effective for breaking dormancy.
