Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out on natural regeneration areas of 14-16 years which tended and untended of Anatolian black pine[Pinus nigra Arnold. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe]. Four areas were sampled 500 m2 each of them to examine tree height, diameter, at base, diameter at breast height, and age to contribute tending and natural, and other forestry practices of the species. Averages of tree height, diameter, at base, diameter at breast height, and age were 2.77 m and 2.27 m, 10.74 cm and 8.73 cm, 8.32 cm and 4.81 cm, 13.8 year and 15.8 year in pooled of sampled areas of tended and untended, respectively. Tended and untended areas showed significant (p<0.05) differences for tree height, diameter, at base, diameter at breast height, and age, while sampled areas were similar (p>0.05) for the characteristics within treatment according to results of analysis of variance. There were significant (p<0.05) relations among tree height, diameter, at base, diameter at breast height, and age in all sampled areas and treatments according to results of correlation analysis.
