Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to emphasize the importance of solar-powered sustainable systems in rural areas within the scope of sustainable architecture, to draw attention to the necessity of using and producing these systems, which is also a way of rural development, and creating incentive policies. Within the scope of the study, in order to create a decision support system in the selection of solar energy smart systems to be used in rural areas, evaluation criteria were created by targeting the sustainability architecture elements, taking into account the rural conditions and the needs of the inhabitants. Evaluation criteria are defined as social sustainability, implementation, economic factors, environmental sustainability and political factors. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the sustainability aspects of these systems were compared. As a result of this study, which provides a guide for decision makers in the fields of improvement, application and selection decisions of solar powered smart systems to be used in rural architecture, it has been revealed that Monocrystalline panel technologies are the major technology in Turkish rural architecture.
