Abstract (EN)
War has emerged from the existence of humanity until today. It has existed in every period and in every geography with its own methods and continues to exist. The themes of war and the death and tragedy associated with it are used intensively in today's art productions as being the concepts that are frequently encountered in our daily life and political writing and are examined as a concept. The social and cultural changes that have emerged with wars have been influential in the ways in which artists express themselves, while at the same time shaping art. The effects of the two world wars have caused radical changes in art history. Especially after the Second World War, new forms of thinking and production have led to the development of new forms of representation. The aim of the study is to make readings on the social impacts of the themes of war, death and tragedy and on the artists who reflect the effects of these effects in contemporary art. For this reason, the first chapter questions the concept of war historically and examines the changes in art from the First and Second World Wars to the present. The second part looks at the exhibition models in the context of cultural identity, after mentioning the various traumatic situations affecting today. The third part examines the reflections of the concepts in contemporary art through Sejla Kameric, Martha Rosler and Hale Tenger.
