In addition, the study determines the importance of the gatekeeping tasks of editors. News copies of reporter have been compared with the printed news in newspaper in this study. 115 news copies have been analyzed in a data base on different levels: Identification of news, framing of news subject, editing and writing style of headlines, photo captions, and news leads. Study results showed that there are some differences between news copies of reporter and the printed news in newspaper. These differences are caused by the editors' elimination information, changing or adding some details. Second, they are using adjective although the reporter didn't use. Also editors are highlighting some details of news as to their interpretation but the reporters didn't do it.
