Abstract (EN)

Although the game is based on a physical activity, it has a cultural background as it cannot be evaluated independently of the culture it is in. Therefore, the games of a society also provide data about the culture of that society. In this study, children's games of Aleppo Turkmen were tried to be determined. In this context, compilation activities were carried out among Aleppo Turkmen who came to various provinces of Turkey after both Syria and forced migration, and the games that were determined formed the content of the study. The games included in the study are introduced in terms of features such as the way they are played, the rules, and the number of players. Then, information is given about the elements of localization in the games, the methods used in the selection of midwives and the verbal formals in the games, the factors that are effective in the naming of the games.
