Abstract (EN)
Throughout the history of capitalism, a number of changes witnessed at the peak of the system. The countries which struggling for protecting geografical areas and markets under their control, they experienced rise and declines during this effort. The UK?s process of becoming a hegemonic, which rose as a hegemonic power in the 18th century, and leave its position to the U.S. are the main subjects of the study. The rise of the U.S. hegemony and effects of a its possible decline is the other issue dealt with in this study. In order to specify changes in the hegemony and hegemonic transitions historical continuity-based approach has been adopted. For this reason, analysis was taken back to the United Provinces which was the first hegemon of the capitalist history. And then the emergence, rise and termination / decline of the UK and U.S. hegemonies were examined. In this study, while analyzing the hegemony of the three countries, theoretical framework of critical school has been used. Finally, using the same theoretical framework, possibilities of reaching to hegemonic position power centers such as China, BRIC economies, such as the G20 and the European Union have been examined.
