Human and economic geograghy of Hocalar district

In this research, Hocalar county of Afyonkarahisar has been studied properties of human and economic geography. Hocalar county is located in Inner Western Anatolia of the Aegean Region.Hocalar County is 100 km away from hometown of Afyonkarahisar. It has been established in the southwest of hometown and it is surroundded by Çivril County of Denizli in the South, Sandıklı County of Afyonkarahisar in the east, Sinanpaşa County of Afyonkarahisar in the northeast, Sivaslı County of Uşak in the southwest and Banaz County of Uşak in the northwest.Hocalar County has adhered to Sandıklı County of Afyonkarahisar in the term of management untill 1990. Published in the Official Gazette dated 05.20.1990 on 20 523 3644 enacted a new law which has gained the status of the district, the district has been in 08/21/1991.The area of Hocalar County is 524 km ². 1 town and 14 village totolly 15 residental unit is administratively due to Hocalar County. There are three districts in the the town center. Althoungh villages is located collectively Yeşilhisar Town where was located collectively in the past lies along the valley today. (In 2009) Population is 2317 in Hocalar, 8974 in rual area. Totally there are 11291 people.Hocalar is average height of 1090 meters from sea. Gömü Brook which spills Hamam Stream is in this area. Some Streams goes by Yeşilhisar town gravitates to west and pours to Banaz Stream.Hocalar?s economic is based on agriculture and animal husbandry. But then service sector has been developed.
