The concept of the will-the volition in the el-Bahru'l-Medîd interpretation of İbn Acîbe

One of the important issues that Muslims dispute is the question of the worshipers in the face of the divine volition is related to many sciences, especially kalam and tafsir. In the study, which is the subject of all aspects of the use of the different concepts of will and prophecy in the Qur'an had been investigated in a special commentary on al-Bahru'l-medîd which is the narrative of the narration and fiqh of Ibn Acibe, who is a Sûfî glossator belonging to the Sunni sect of Ahl-i Sunnah. In the first chapter, Ibn Acibe's al-Fehrese work, which was written as an autobiography, and other sources containing information about his life were examined and his life and works were taken into consideration considering the scientific, political and socio-cultural situation of the period. In the second part, the concept of volition and concepts of discipline, will, freewill, judgment, commandment, wisdom, explained by their terminological and dictionary meaning later these concepts tried to be explained by their meaning in the Qur'an. In addition, some examples from the Qur'an have been given to explain these issues. On the other hand, he has been tried to determine why Mu'tezile theologians differentiated based on the opinions of the Ahl-i Sunnah theologians who were on the agenda of this debate. In the third chapter, which is the main part of the study, the concept of linguistics in the commentary of Ibn Acibe's al-Bahru'l-medîd is dealt with in two different headings as divine volition and the creatures volition. In the research, it was concluded that Ibn Acibe had been interpreting the verses related to divine eloquence in the power of God depending on the principles of the Ahl-i Sunnah.
