İbn Battûta's mind maps

Ibn Battûta's 'Mind Maps' thesis aims to reveal the world of the mind of the traveler by foregrounding the travelogue and focusing on the traveler rather than the phenomenon of travel time. The text of the travelogue can be read in the form of mind maps of the traveler. The travelogue we have in this case is the sum of the journeys of Ibn Battuta in a period of close to thirty years. What is described in the text, the traveler through the mind filter, was created by a process of extraction. During the same period, if someone else had become Ibn Battuta, he would have revealed a different travelogue than that of the mind world. It would have formed its belonging, religion, geography, accumulation, and beliefs through a different traveler, with different perspectives and fictional dimensions filtering the text. The way to make sense of the travel book therefore is to create the character of Ibn Battûta; so, the purpose of the traveler (Sufi) is accumulation, belief, mind to show habits. Ibn Battuta develops throughout the journey and gains dimension, thus it is characterized. The way trains the traveler, who matures as a result of his road. The concept of mind with different meanings can be equated with the world or with life and can be described as a mirror. It can be said that the travel book is the reflection of the traveler's world, world experience and travel. Seyyah 's being a Sunni Muslim from the Maliki denomination, the conception of Sufism, scientific knowledge, and personality formed the steps of this thesis. In sum this thesis emphasizes the importance of the traveler in exposing the travelogue as a text and from the mind maps of the traveler, revealing that the journey could be read again from a different perspective by characterizing the traveler.
