Abstract (EN)
The tension which was climbing in Europe before The World War II and the progress that emerged within The World War II were importantly followed by the whole world. In this study, The World War II is tried to be narrated by making investigations in the light of İzmir press. The point of view and the interpretations of İzmir newspapers in that period are evaluated. Turkey applied variable strategies in order to stay out of The World War II. These strategies dominated the İzmir press. However, since the beginning of the war, İzmir press displayed Allied-sided attitudes while evaluating the process. While the Axis Powers were criticized, Allied Powers were praised.
