A qualitative study on theology education within the framework of academician opinions

In this research, which is designed on the experiences of academicians who are the managers of education in order to bring a perspective on the purpose, content, material and method by which the education carried out in the faculties of theology is guided, and which is examined by focusing on the principles of curriculum development in education; Qualitative research model was preferred because it allows to directly learn the perspectives of the academicians, who are the subject of the research, about the teaching they offer in their fields of science at the undergraduate level, and to interpret the meaning emerging from the literature and interview data obtained in the context of curriculum development principles. It was conducted according to the case study design, one of the qualitative research designs. In the study where data were collected with the interview form technique of the qualitative method, the maximum diversity model, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. In the study, the views of the participants on the Theology undergraduate program were discussed, and their views on the postgraduate program were not included in the study. While analyzing the collected data, descriptive analysis and content analysis methods were used together. The findings obtained from the study, in which the themes related to the participants' responses were determined, were compared and interpreted within the framework of the relevant literature, TYYÇ and Bologna information system.
