Abstract (EN)

Economic difficulties and social unconsciousness in the life process lead to various problems in our environment. One of the biggest of these problems is unconscious energy consumption. One of the biggest reasons for the unconscious consumption of energy is that the existing construction consumes energy unnecessarily during both construction and building life. However, with the energy crisis in the past, the concept of energy efficient building design has emerged. The main purpose of this type of design is to ensure efficient use of energy and minimization of costs by minimizing the damage to the environment without disturbing the comfort conditions of the building user. In this study, a proposal for energy efficient improvement of family health centers (FHC) applied throughout Turkey is discussed. It is aimed to perform energy analysis on the FHC project and to develop energy efficient family health center projects to be planned in the future by adding the suggestions presented as a result of these analyzes to the design criteria. In line with this purpose, first of all, the necessary concepts related to energy-efficient design, energy-efficient building design parameters and energy-efficient building analysis are given by making the necessary literature review. The İsmil Family Health Center project, which is applied in Konya province, located in the moderate dry climate zone, which will be analyzed in the rest of the study, was obtained from the relevant administrative units. Electrical energy use, fossil fuel consumption, heating-cooling loads and lighting analyses were carried out with the help of ArchiCAD program, EcoDesigner STAR plug-in and VELUX DayLight Visualiser programs on the models prepared for the current status of the project and improvement suggestions. In line with the data obtained, it was determined that the material improvements made in the building envelope of the existing building help energy conservation, the new design proposal on the transparent surfaces provides energy savings in lighting and heating loads, and the photovoltaic panels added to the roof surface can meet the electrical energy and are recommended for use in applications.
