The comparison of student's religious attitudes of the faculty of theology as graduates from imam hatip high school and other high schools (Case study at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Hakkâri University)

The research topic includes the determination of religious attitudes of students who graduated from different high schoolsand are studying at the faculty og theology now. The research aims to analyzehow to affect religiousattidutesof student's in the faculty of theology they had religious education when they werehigh school students. İt also aims toanalyze whether religious education in high schools has a crucial difference on religious attitudes. Therefor, a survey prepared earlier and approved of applicability by experts has been applied for 300 student's being educated in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Theology and Hakkâri University Faculty of Theology. The research analyzes differences between religious attitudes and demographic variables such as age, gender, residence, economic level, graduated high school as well as religious attitudes. Also, it deals with religious attitudes in terms of higher education, belief and social impact. Firstly, theory of thesis has been ezplained, previous studies have been examined and then articles, thesis and boks related to the topic have been used in the research. Surveys, one of data collection tools, have been used in order to do analysis of current situation as it is. The data abtained has been evaulated in SPSS(statistical package for social sciences) program. While analyzing the data, crosstabs have been formed by using descriptive statistics (freguency, percentage) and chi-sguare analysis has been done. The results have been interpreted and adviced.
