In this research we discussed the definition of bachelorhood and spinsterhood and marriage, in term of language and terminology, and the most important thing about the marriage, like the birth control. In addition to mentioning the differences among the Islamic scholars about the two issues. The celibacy topic has also been covered in the research and its relationship with the bachelorhood and spinsterhood, through the jurisprudential evidences, where we explained the jurisprudential opinion about them. We remembered the types of bachelorhood and spinsterhood jurisprudentially, which is something new that we discovered through our study. We also studied the most important reasons and the most prominent ones that cause the bachelorhood and spinsterhood with finding solutions for every reason, through the opinions of the great Islamic scholars within the four Islamic schools. Among the causes is the ruler (Legal Guardian), and his impact on the multiplication of bachelors and spinsters, and the high costs of the dowries and its relationship with the subject of our study, where we explained the rule of the dowry and determined it. We also pointed to the finding of solutions to reduce the phenomenon of high costs of dowries. We also discussed the most important reasons that cause the phenomenon of divorce; where it has a great deal of comment in our subject, as divorce leaves uncountable numbers. By mentioning the reasons of divorce, we found legal solutions to reduce the phenomenon of bachelorhood and spinsterhood. These solutions include re-marriage, Misyar marriage and the customary marriage. We also outlined the encouragement of Islam on the marriage through the Holy Quran, the noble prophetical Sunnah and the jurisprudential books, and we ended our study with the most important results that we reached through this study.
