Abstract (EN)
VI ABSTRACT The aim of this study is, first, to investigate the job satisfaction of the employees in relation with the social responsibilities of the companies based on the dimensions of "fair wage, health and safety conditions, employee participation, training and development, performance evalutions and promotion and gender discrimination, second, to examine the impact of these dimensions on job satisfaction. The data of the study was collected by a questionnaire involving 362 employees who are working for 13 large scale textile companies located in UŞAK. In order to test the hypotheses of the study, frequency, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression analyses were applied. The findings of the study show that there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and the dimensions of social responsibilities that companies implement for their employees. The strongest relationship was found between job satisfaction and performance evaluation and promotion, and health and safety conditions. It is found that performing social responsibilities towards employees influences the level of job satisfaction in a positive way. Based on these findings, several recommendations are made in the final section of the study.
