Abstract (EN)

Childhood traumas can have many individual, social and interpersonal effects. In order to understand the nature of the relationship between childhood traumas and psychopathological diseases, studies on etiologic, epidemiological, treatment and clinical appearance aspects are being conducted. Studies have shown that childhood traumas affect individuals' eating attitude and may be a risk factor for the occurrence of eating disorders and further studies are needed in this area. The aim of this study is to determine the effect childhood trauma on eating attitudes and psychological well-being of women who receive dietician support. In addition, the relationship between eating attitude, childhood trauma, psychological well-being and demographic variables is determined. 211 women who actively receive dietary support participated in the study. In order to evaluate the participants, "Childhood Trauma Scale-Short Form (CTQ-28)", "Eating Attitude Test-Short Form (YTT-26)", "Psychological Well-Being Scale-Short Form (PIO-42)" and Personal Information Form were used. In the results of working; emotional abuse, which is a sub-dimension of childhood trauma, predicted psychological well-being and explained 14% of the change in this variable. According to body mass index (BMI), it was found that "obese individuals scored higher than physical neglect and emotional abuse sub-dimensions compared to" normal" and ''weak" individuals. On the other hand, in the eating attitude test, the mean score of the non-working women was higher than the working women. The mediating effect of psychological well-being is tested by Regression Analysis and Structural Equality Model statistical methods. The hypothesis that psychological well-being has a mediating role in the relationship between childhood trauma and eating attitude was not supported. As a result; In order to understand the effect of childhood trauma on psychological well-being, eating attitude and Body Mass Index (BMI), studies with larger samples and clinical interviews are needed. ır.
