Dome writings of sultan and pasha mosques in Istanbul

The dome writings found on the domes of the sultan and pasha mosques built in Istanbul during the Ottoman Empire period constitute the subject of our study. In the introduction, the conquest of Istanbul, the reconstruction and settlement activities after the conquest, the art of calligraphy in Istanbul during the Ottoman period, and the method of the study are explained. In the catalog section, the general characteristics of the mosques within the scope of the study and the inscriptions on their domes are discussed in detail. Detailed evaluations are made in the main dome inscriptions and half and other dome inscriptions section in the light of the data obtained about the dome inscriptions in the catalog section. In the conclusion part, the conclusions reached based on the data obtained in the study are listed.
