Abstract (EN)
Dervish lodges are places where tariqats, which means Sufi schools or dervish orders, carry out their activities. The rituals and ceremonies, etiquette applied in these lodges, the rules of behavior called âdâb in the dervish lodges, which have a unique position in the Ottoman social and cultural life, have a great importance. Qadiriyya, which started to form in Baghdad in the 12th century, was divided into many branches in different regions over the centuries and started to spread among the Anatolian and Rumelian Turks with its Ashrafiyya and Rumiyya branches from the 15th century, and over time became a part of the Ottoman-Turkish urban culture. The subject of this study is to determine how Ashrafiyya and Rumiyya were established as tariqat branches, and the rituals, ceremonies and methods of mystical education called 'usûl, âdâb and erkân'.
