The effects of development agencies on regional development: A Batman sample

Although regional development expresses a total development today, it has gained a quality and meaning such as the discovery of unique resources in the local area and the participation of the people living in the region in production. While public services in Turkey were transferred directly from the center to the regions in question, this policy was abandoned over time and the understanding that the people living in the region would know better about services or projects that would accelerate development is adopted. The low level of development of the country in the first years of the Republic caused the number of studies on regional development to be small. As development increased, the transformation started and regional development emerged as a result of this transformation. In this study; the effects of regional development agencies in order to achieve regional development are examined. In this study, the effects of Dicle Development Agency in Batman province is tried to be determined.
