Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on the question whether one can meaningfully talk about metaphysical infinity via mathematical infinity" and discusses Kant's criticism of the possibility of metaphysics relying on the post-Cantorian developments in contemporary mathematics and the distinction between mathematical indefiniteness and metaphysical infinite proposed by Rene Guenon. First Kant's view of mathematics and his criticism of metaphysics are presented. Then some significant results obtained by Cantor and his followers and Guenon's views on infinity are mentioned. Special attention is given to the question whether Guenon's views avoid Kant's criticisms.
