Examination on Kazakh religious epics

Epics are the most important carrier of culture which holds the lifestyle of society. Epics are literate texts that are product of nation's understanding of creating ideal nation in addition to reflecting religious understanding. Religious epics are texts which are written for adopting, telling and spreading Islamic religious and transform ideal character into combatant type for this purpose, transfer religious-moral social norm to new generations and inspire soul of holy war to public. Although Turkish world involves wide geographic area, Turkish communities that live in this area are the name of association which has the same feelings,lifestyle and point of view in real, produce similar literate texts and use the same culture codes.Folk stories that are named as the type of "battalname" and "cenkname" in the field of Anatolian are expressed as religious epics in Kazakh folklore. In this work,the names that are given for Kazakh religious epic tellers ,repertoire of minstrel,their school of epic, techniques of narrative, structure of episode and motif and types in narratives are informed, "cenkname" and "battalname "of Kazakh areas and Anatolia area's products are compared and place of Kazakh religious epics works in custom of Turkish epic are tried to be stated. Religious epics that are called "Zarkum", in volume 12 "Kıssa Seyitbattal" ın volume 16 and "Muhammed Hanefi Hazreti Ali Oğlunun Tabut Padişahı ile Savaşı"in volume 10 that are in series of book "Babalar Sözi (Atalar Sözü)"are translated into Turkish language.
