Islamization of Kazakhs and their religious identies in the Period of tharist according to Russian orientalists

In this research, the transformation of the Kazakh Turks into the nation, their Islamization and the states they belong to, the religious identity of the Kazakh Turks during the period of Tsarist Russia were examined in various aspects. In this research, the religious identity of Kazakh Turks during the period of Tsarist Russia was examined from various perspectives. In the study, the views of Russian Orientalists on the identity of the Kazakhs were compiled and their effects on the scientific world were evaluated.In the first and second chapters, the spread of Islamic religion to the territory of Kazakhstan and the effect of the establishment of the Kazakh Khanate State are discussed. The third section sheds light on the unknown aspects of Russian Orientalists, which emerged from the explanations and determinations about the identity of Kazakh Muslims. The background of shamanism among the people and the theories that the Kazakhs became Islam after the Russian invasion was emphasized. The English, French, German orientalism schools worldwide have a special place in Russian Orientalism. It is also known that Russian orientalism is affected methodically by Western European intellectual movements. XIX. and XX. It is seen that Russian orientalism contributed greatly to the researches of Caucasian and Turkestan Muslims, which were annexed by Russia after centuries. The role of Russian orientalists in defining these peoples to the world through their own understanding is a historical fact. The main purpose of our research is to shed light on the influence of orientalism in examining Kazakh Muslims and to show that these investigations are the basis for the theories that survive today.
