Abstract (EN)

This study aims to make a contribution to comparative language learning, determining the similarities and differences of word and sentence structures in Arabic and Persian languages. In this study it is aimed to make a comparison between Arabic which is a member of Afro-Asiatic languages and Persian which is a member of Indo-European languages using contrastive linguistics and contrastive analysis methods. This study consists of introduction, first and second parts. In the first part of this study both of the languages are compared in terms of word structures; and, in the second part they are compared in terms of sentence structures. This study is thought to be useful to the students studying in the faculty of religious studies who are learning Arabic as the main foreign language and Persian as an elective language; and the students studying in the faculty of Persian philology who are learning Persian as the main foreign language and Arabic as an elective language.
