Abstract (EN)

One of the most basic features of philosophy is to being reflexive. In this sense, as a thinking entity, one can think of itself and things outside of itself. In order for philosophy to take place in a competent form, this folding of thought over itself in the activity of thinking must take place in both way we speak (for itself and others). In this way, two branches of philosophy emerge: when we talk about the existence of something Ontology, and when it comes to knowledge of something Epistemology, When choosing the topic of the present thesis we tried to choose a topic that will include these two most important branches of philosophy. In this thesis, the problem that is handled is the relation between language and reality. Kantian metaphysics has dealt with the essential principles of existence as a matter of ontology. In this sense Kantian Metaphysics and classical Metaphysics compared. Also Kant's views on how to draw the boundaries of knowledge and define what is knowable are considered in the thesis. At the same time, Kantian Metaphysics -which largely demolished the classical understanding of object- compared with those of Frege, Russell, and Kripke, eminent philosophers of philosophy of language. In this direction, we tried to show how analytical philosophy -especially Frege's and Russell's theories of object- followed the line of Kantian Metaphysics. It is stated that the Kantian metaphysics is influential in the history of philosophy and continues to be influential to present day. Saul A. Kripke, one of the living philosophers, has pursued philosophical con-sequences of an important result, the completeness of modal logic, through the idea of possible world semantics. Thus Kripke developed a direct reference theory instead of an indirect one. This semantic theory has shown that some sort of essentialism can be defended in a philosophical sense. At the end of the thesis it has been determined that the semantics of Kripke has a great potential to undermine Kantian metaphysics. At the same time, however, attention has also been drawn to the fact that Kripke's semantics carries similarities with Kantian Metaphysics as well.
