Abstract (EN)
The aim of our study is to improve balance, walking and aerobic exercise and dual-task focused training in individuals with chronic stroke, and to examine the effect on speed and cognitive function. Our study included 39 volunteer chronic stroke patients. Patients were in the conventional treatment group (n=13), aerobic exercise treatment group (n=13) and dual-task exercise was divided into 3 groups as the treatment group (n=13). 15 sessions in total, 3 days a week have been treated. Verbal Fluency Test, Standardized Mini Mental Test for Assessment, Berg Balance Test , 10 Meter Walk Test , and Timed Up and Go Test used. While there was no significant difference in Verbal Fluencey Test and Standardized Mini Mental Test in the conventional treatment group (p>0.05); a significant difference was found in Berg Balance test, 10 Meter Walk Test and Timed Up and Go Test. (p<0.05) Treatment in aerobic exercise treatment group while there was no significant difference in Standartized Mini Mental Test in the pre- and post-evaluation (p>0.05); Verbal Fluency Test, Berg Balance Test, Timed Up and Go Test a significant difference was found in the and 10 Meter Walk Test. (p<0.05) Standartized Mini Mental Test, Verbal Fluency Test, a significant difference was found in Berg Balance Test, Timed Up and Go Test and 10 Meter Walk Test. (p<0.05) As a result of our study, aerobic exercise and dual-task exercise have positive effects on walking speed, balance, and cognitive function. However, there is no significant difference between the groups.
